시간·장소·방향 전치사를 체계적으로 정리합시다!

시간 전치사 at: 시각, 특정 시점 → at 3 o'clock, at night, at noon on: 요일, 날짜 → on Monday, on July 4th in: 월, 계절, 연도 → in March, in summer, in 2026

for: ~동안 (기간) → for 3 hours since: ~이래로 (시점) → since 2020 by: ~까지 (기한) → by tomorrow until: ~까지 (계속) → until midnight

장소 전치사 at: 지점 → at the door, at school on: 표면 위 → on the table, on the wall in: 공간 내부 → in the room, in Korea

above/over: 위에 below/under: 아래에 between: 둘 사이 among: 셋 이상 사이

방향 전치사 to: ~으로 (도착점) → go to school into: ~안으로 (밖→안) → walk into the room out of: ~밖으로 (안→밖) → run out of the house toward(s): ~쪽으로 → walk toward the park through: ~을 통과하여 → drive through the tunnel across: ~을 가로질러 → swim across the river along: ~을 따라 → walk along the street

혼동하기 쉬운 전치사 during vs for: during + 특정 기간: during the meeting (회의 동안) for + 수량 기간: for 3 hours (3시간 동안)

by vs until: by: 기한 → Finish by Friday. (금요일까지 끝내라) until: 계속 → Wait until Friday. (금요일까지 기다려라)

전치사 없이 쓰는 표현 go home (❌ go to home) — home은 부사 go there (❌ go to there) — there는 부사 go abroad (❌ go to abroad) — abroad는 부사

💡 home, there, here, abroad, downtown은 부사이므로 to 불필요
