강조, 도치, 생략, 병렬 구조를 정리합시다!

강조 구문: It is ~ that 일반: I want to study English. 강조: It is English that I want to study.

💡 강조하고 싶은 부분을 It is와 that 사이에 넣음 💡 do 강조: I do love you. (정말 사랑해) 💡 what 강조: What I need is time.

도치 (Inversion) 부정어가 문두에 올 때 도치:

Never have I seen such a thing. Not only did he lie, but he also stole. Hardly had I arrived when it started raining. No sooner had I left than it began to snow.

💡 부정어(Never, Not only, Hardly, No sooner) + 조동사 + 주어

so/neither 도치 He likes coffee, and so do I. (나도 그래) She doesn't like tea, and neither do I. (나도 안 그래)

💡 '나도 그래' = So do I / So am I / So can I 💡 '나도 안 그래' = Neither do I / Neither am I

병렬 구조 (Parallel Structure) ✅ I like reading, writing, and speaking English. ❌ I like reading, writing, and to speak English.

✅ She is not only smart but also kind. ❌ She is not only smart but also has kindness.

💡 and, or, but, not only~but also로 연결된 요소는 같은 형태로 맞춤

생략·대용 I can play the piano, and she can, too. → can 뒤의 play the piano 생략

A: Do you like coffee? B: Yes, I do. → do가 like coffee를 대신

💡 반복을 피하기 위해 이미 언급된 부분을 생략하거나 대용어로 대체
